Water Walkies Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions
(Applicable across the entire premises, including the outdoor and parking areas.)
Surveillance
CCTV is in operation in the carpark and treadmill area. Footage is recorded and stored for security and operational purposes.
Infection Control & Vaccinations
Clients must notify Water Walkies immediately if their dog contracts or is exposed to any infectious or contagious disease (e.g., kennel cough). Important: Dogs must not attend within 3 days of receiving a live vaccine (e.g., kennel cough). Attendance while symptomatic or within this period may result in cancellation and possible fees.
Health & Safety – Dogs & Humans
Participation in therapies (hydrotherapy, land-based exercise, and laser therapy) involves physical activity and interaction with equipment and water surfaces.
Clients acknowledge that:
- Dogs with diagnosed or undiagnosed health issues (e.g., cardiac, spinal, respiratory) may face increased risk.
- Water Walkies accepts no responsibility for any pre-existing or developing conditions that may be affected by participation.
Dogs must wear a collar or harness and remain on-lead unless directed otherwise. Do not approach or touch other dogs. Reactive or injured dogs may be present, and inappropriate interactions may pose a risk of harm.
Clients must supervise their dogs at all times in parking and external areas. Water Walkies is not liable for injuries occurring outside the centre.
Feeding, Toileting & Cleanliness
- No food within 3 hours of the appointment.
- Toilet your dog before entering. Bags are provided at reception.
- Accidents in the pool or treadmill may require full shutdown and sanitation. This results in loss of income and session cancellations for others. A $100 cleaning fee will apply, in addition to your session cost, if this occurs.
Media Consent
Water Walkies may photograph or record your dog during sessions for use in marketing and educational material. These remain the property of Water Walkies.
Clients may opt out of media use during the initial intake. By not opting out, you grant full permission for media use across print and digital platforms without compensation.
Appointments
Appointments are 30 minutes, including pre- and post-session time. Dogs exit the pool/treadmill at 25 minutes to allow a smooth transition for the next client. Shared facilities like the dryer and shower are available. Please bring a towel and leave the area clean.
If you require assistance with washing, your session may end early to maintain schedule integrity.
Late Arrivals
- Up to 10 minutes late: Session continues but ends at scheduled time.
- More than 10 minutes late: We may attempt to reschedule, but cannot guarantee it. Full session fee still applies in all cases.
Cancellations, No-Shows & Rescheduling
- 24 hours' notice is required for cancellations or changes.
- Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged the full session fee.
- Repeated late changes (2 or more) will require prepayment at time of booking and forfeiture of future standing appointments.
We understand emergencies occur and will make reasonable accommodations at our discretion.
