Water Walkies is based in Port Kembla, near Wollongong and boasts the region’s first designated dog hydrotherapy pool (which sits at a balmy 29° year round), in a purpose-built facility.
The centre also features an underwater treadmill with 360-degree cameras for assessing gait and prescribing individualised therapy programs.
Our laser treatments are new to our centre and is fast becoming a very popular treatment option for many ailments.
Co-owners Allison and Catherine earned their qualifications in 2017 in the UK where hydrotherapy is part of mainstream treatment, by both private attendance and veterinary referrals. These dedicated ladies then went on to design and build Water Walkies from the ground up to what it is today – a multi-modality canine and feline service facility with 6 dedicated staff and more joining the ranks.
In 2022 Catherine and Allison's dedication and hard work were duly recognized when they were awarded, Illawarra's Business Woman's Award! What a great accomplishment!
All our passionate, expert staff employed at Water Walkies are qualified in every aspect of hydrotherapy and laser therapy and beyond for dogs and other animals. They complete continuing professional development learning on a monthly basis through an online learning platform for Veterinary Rehabilitation Professionals.
